Dates - changing default format and default value?

Hi all,

I'm using XLSForm and I had two questions regarding date-type fields:

  1. I'm trying to modify the format in which a date is displayed in the
eventual survey. The default format is month/day/year, but I would like to
display it as day/month/year. Is this possible?
  2. I would like a default date to appear. Not the current date, but one
that is based on the date given from a previous question. Is this possible?

Thanks in advance.

The date format sometime depends upon the language and locale configured on
the device.

However it is always stored in ISO 8601 format.

When displayed via a substitution in a label or hint, it will likely always
be displayed in ISO 8601 format. You can reformat it into a different
format and store that in another field then use that field in your label
and hint substitutions. See format-date(...)
