Dayligth savings time

After my phone has adjusted its time display to allow for daylight savings
ODK Collect does not handle time enties correct:

Scenario 1:

A. I Fill in a blank form with a TIME field set to 14:00.

B. I send the finalized form to the server.

C. The time stored in ODK database is now 13:00

Scenario 2:

A. A. I Fill in a blank form with a TIME field set to 14:00.

B. I save the form - not finalized.

C. I chose "Edit saved form" and the value displayed in ODK Collect is
13:00.

Is this a bug that is going to be fixed?

If this is the confimed behaviour I may be able to work around by making my
data script that pulls data from the database add 1 hour if current time is
summer time.

Thanks for all help.

What time zone is your device configured to use? This will help in testing.

First, note that ODK Aggregate attempts to display times in UTC (no time
zone adjustments or daylight savings time adjustments). That could account
for the differences you see in Scenario 1.

w.r.t. Scenario 2, SurveyCTO has contributed a fix in the area of daylight
savings time treatments.
It will be in the next release of the ODK tools.

The original motivation for the fix is within ODK Briefcase, but it likely
also impacts the re-opening of a filled-in form.

Thank you for the detailed reproduction cases.

I have created an issue for this:

And will update it with test results prior to releasing an updated ODK
Collect.
