How to create a project in ODK Collect

Dear all, I have prepared ODK_xls_form and I want to create a project in ODK Collect app, how can I proceed? any one please!

However, here's a summary of what you need to do:

  1. Convert XLSForm to XML:

    • If your XLSForm is ready, convert it to XML format using an online converter or through software that supports XLSForm to XML conversion, such as ODK XLSForm Offline (ODK XLSForm Offline v2.00)

  2. Connect Your Device to Computer:

    • Connect your Android device to your computer using a USB cable.

  3. Access ODK/forms Folder:

    • On your computer, navigate to the connected Android device and find the ODK folder.
    • Inside the ODK folder, locate the "forms" subfolder.

  4. Transfer XML File:

    • Copy the XML file (converted from your XLSForm) into the "forms" folder on your Android device.

  5. Refresh ODK Collect:

    • Disconnect your device from the computer and open ODK Collect.
    • The newly added form should now appear in the list of available forms to fill.

This method allows you to manually transfer the XML file to the correct folder on your Android device where ODK Collect stores its forms. Upon opening ODK Collect, the app will recognize the added form in the folder and make it available for use.

While @Joseph_Muganga's answer is technically correct, it's cumbersome and not sufficient for you to use the data you collect.
