Default value as last value entered

Is there a way to make the default value in the form be set to the last value that was entered into that form?

We have multiple combination of site information to make a form collection location (4 sites, 2 plots within sites, 7 transects within each plot and 6 quadrants within a transect)and collect multiple species at each of these quadrants so it would be nice to have the default value in the form come up as the last entered form to decrease data entry and then would just need to enter species and abundance.

Hi Dara,

This currently isn't possible, but I've got some ideas on how we could
maybe cache some values. Please file a feature request at
https://github.com/opendatakit/collect/issues/new so we can have a
community discussion around this and see if anyone wants to take it
on.

You might also be able to use preloading
(http://xlsform.org/#pre-loading-csv-data) to pull this off. You give
each quadrant a unique ID, then you use that ID to pull up the
previous information, adjust it as necessary, and re-submit that new
value.
