Docker build failing

Hi @Ayub,

I am also struggling to install Central in Digital Ocean, which in earlier version was with no difficulties! Docker build does not work this time.

Raj

What is the exact error message you are seeing? What you tried so far to resolve the problem?

Hi Raj,

As Yaw suggested, can you please attach some screenshots where you're stuck or think is an error

Hi @yanokwa, @Ayub ,

Yes, please wait, I am trying again. Will let you know. Thanks.

Raj

Hi @yanokwa,

I am getting these screenshots in terminal. Previously, installation in Digital Ocean was straightforward, now struggling though followed the doc - https://docs.getodk.org/central-install-digital-ocean/

Regards.

Everything you've showed so far shows that the build is complete.

When you say "Docker build does not work this time" what exactly do you mean? What exactly are you expecting and how do you know that the build is not working?

Hi @yanokwa,

I used the phrase 'Docker build failing', maybe prematurely. Sorry for that. I tried the installation in digitalocean following those commands step by step, but the Central is not starting. I am wondering because my last projects' installation were so straightforward with the described commands. Why is 'docker compose ps' not producing desired screens; 'docker compose build' is not showing "Successfully built" type text after taking 15 minutes.

  1. I set domain in digitalocean and linked that to odc-central droplet, after changing nameservers in domain registrar.
  2. I was able to get into droplet console with root user and password that was set while making droplet.
  3. I successfully edited nano .env and saved with my domain name (abcdc.com) and email (abcdefg@gmail.com)
    can you provide any suggestion?

Regards,
Raj

Hi @yanokwa,

I am getting this screen after hitting the domain name which I set in nano. Is there any problem, please suggest. I am finding little struggling this time than earlier, to install the ODK central.

Raj

Read your nginx and service container logs. What do they say?
