Does change in constraint on variable mean new table?

Hello,
Thanks for the good work all.
I have an uploaded form and data capture has been ongoing, However I want
to edit some constraints, e.g a particular variable has been allowing only
.=60 or .=65 or .= 80, now I want to add .=100 or .=200.
my question is how do I do this onto the existing form without creating a
new table since new forms automatically create new tables in MYSQL.

All help will be much appreciated.

To update an existing form definition (which is possible as long as you do
not add or remove fields or change a field data type or change a field from
a data-entry field to a calculated field), you need to define a version
string. See https://opendatakit.org/help/form-design/guidelines/

This documentation has unfortunately not made it onto xlsform.org

Hélène has filed a documentation fix at
https://github.com/XLSForm/xlsform.github.io/pull/82. It'll be in the
docs after the pyxform team reviews it.
