Download multiple values from a repeat

Hello-

I created a form to record plant species found in forest plots. Since each
plot has a potentially different number of species, I used a type "repeat"
to enter species name and the count. Once all species were recorded, you
could exit out of the repeat and fill in the rest of the form. Now when I
download from the Aggregate site as a csv, I get the plot-level information
(e.g. name, location, etc), but the species do not appear. There is a web
link, which takes me to the species-level data, though, and shows all the
species from the plot and the count. Is there a way to download the
species-level data without having to go the the web link in the csv I get
from Aggregate?

Thanks!
Max

Hi Max,

If you want to get the repeating sections in a CSV format, your best
bet is to use ODK Briefcase. See
http://opendatakit.org/use/aggregate/data-transfer/#Exporting for a
more detailed explanation.

Hi Max,

The Smap server allows you yo download entries from repeating groups in the
same class or CSV file as their parents. You can specify that the output be
1 record per sub form or 1 record per parent. In the latter case the sub
form records appear in repeated columns.

Regards

Neil
