Embedding basic search functionality in ODK collect form

Good day ODK community!

Is it possible to create a basic search engine in ODK collect that accepts
a keyword via textbox, searches it on an internal data storage and display
the results afterwards? I am searching through the documentation but would
also like to consult the ODK experts from this group?

Thank you very much!

What do you mean with 'internal data storage'? For any data inside the
form, you can use XPath with the limits described
here: http://opendatakit.github.io/odk-xform-spec/. Using an XPath
predicate is pretty powerful.

Cheers,
Martijn

Thanks Martjin. What I mean with internal data storage is simply the data
to be read and displayed by ODK resides in the phone or memory card
regardless of the database engine. I will explore more on the Xpath
predicate and share how it went through.
