Error : Invalid status code on Head request

Hi,

I am new to the world of ODK. I have created an data entry form in ODK,
installed ODK aggregate, successfully submitted the form to ODK aggregate.
I also installed ODK collect on my android phone and downloaded the form
and entered data successfully. But when I try to send the data from mobile
to ODK aggregate, an error displays: "Invalid statys code on Head request.
If you have a web proxy, you may need to login to your network." I could
not figure out what is the problem and how to get it solved. Any help on
this would be highly appreciated. I have also attached the form for the
reference.

Many Thanks
Jeni

Hi - I am very new to ODK and have a question about ODK and servers. My University does not allow the use of App Engine (or other such iCloud services), because they are often not HIPAA compliant. The alternative, which would be provided by the University is too costly.

I am wondering whether there is a way to use ODK (for the purposes of ACASI) without using a server? Could completed surveys be saved to a tablet and downloaded at a later time?

My other question is whether anyone has used ODK with server capabilities from DatAnywhere

Thanks,

Hi Jemima,

Yes, you can use ODK Collect without sending data to a server. The
best way to do this is to use ODK Briefcase.

Another alternative is to use ODK Aggregate VM
(https://gumroad.com/l/odk-aggregate-vm) on a machine you control.

If you are using a few tablets, Briefcase is your best bet. If you
have tens or hundreds, might be easier to go with the VM.

Hi Yaw,

Thank you for your response! It is very helpful. I will definitely look
into the options that you have provided. I am planning to use a few
tablets, so it seems ODK Briefcase is the way to go. Thanks again.
