We are currently conducting a survey that is quite extensive and lengthy.
Today we are encountered by this error in ODK collect by one of our
enumerators: "Error Occured: Java,util.Vector cannot be cast to
org.javarosa.core.model.data.helper.Selection".
Since we are in the middle of the data collection process, I would really
appreciate clues as to what is causing this issue.

(2) What version of ODK Collect are you using? i.e., the title on the
opening screen e.g., ODK Collect 1.4.4 (1047)

We are using 1045, 1.4.4 version of ODK Collect, I understand that log
would help a great deal but all the devices are already used for collecting
data in the field.
About the frequency of this error, it happened twice already and I suspect
it being related to using Back button frequently and as a result some
conditions failing on next questions causing form to crash (this error is
shown on every screen if you try to go ahead or back). At the end you're
thrown back to the main menu.
I still haven't really figured out how reproduce this error.

I'll take a look at the code, but without a trace, it is unlikely I will be
able to identify and fix the cause.
This may be an interaction with the background saving of checkpoints.
