Dear developers,

I am a bit confused about GeoODK. In the forum I read that developers are
working to integrate polygon capture with ODK Collect. A already tested a
beta-version for this functionality, which looked very promising. But now I
bumbed up against GeoODK... What is the relation with ODK? I am very happy
with the ODK developers community: you respond fast and problems are
quickly solved. This is important before considering to integrate the tool
in your project. But how is this with GeoODK? Is the same developer
community supporting this? Its functionality seems interesting, but I want
to be sure that there is some good backup like with ODK Collect. Thanks for
the clarification.

Hi Eddy,

I developed GeoODK, your concerns are very valid. We do not have as many
people supporting GeoODK so I can understand your concerns, we are also
still working out bugs and kinds with offline mapping formats, we have only
been in the google play store since September. Just to let you know we are
upgrading the GeoODK build to have the ODK Collect 1.4.5 feature, plus a
bunch of new mapping functionality that has been requested. I hope that ODK
wants to work closer on these efforts, I will try to reach out to them
again and see if we can come up with a plan to move forward on our efforts.

If you need alot of support, I suggest sticking with ODK because they have
a much larger team working on there tools.
