Yes, we always hide most of the settings and protect it with an admin password. Otherwise we have seen that somehow the desired settings get changed when someone plays with it, often inadvertently.
For our devices, Periodic form updates check is set to Every 24 hours. Ideally I'd like to have some control over what time of day it should sync. Say the surveyors start work in the morning at 8 am, we would set it to sync daily at 7 am so even if some changes to forms have been done the previous day (or night), it would apply.
