Dear All,
i am trying to get the GPS coordinates without having *Internet
*and the SIM in the phone in ODK collect App.
we are working in the areas where even mobile connection is not working
and even internet connection is not there.
can anyone help me in this regards?
Just make sure that your GPS is activated on your android device. If your
android has a GPS sensor then it will work without a chip or internet. I
have accomplished this with a Samsung Galaxy J2.
GPS is NOT dependent on Internet or SIM. Make sure the device has GPS and make sure its turned on while using the ODK collect. The GPS signals are received from satellites so you just need to have a clear view of sky for good accuracy.

Parameters,Localisation, Mode and then, choose GPS ONLY.

Without a clear view of sky, it won't capture, or will capture with a bad
acuracy,
I normally use an application call GPS Status to determine if my GPS on the
mobile are working properly
