How might I secure a CSV in the media folder?

Anybody have any ideas about security for a CSV file loaded into the media
folder when a form is downloaded? If the tablet is lost/stolen, somebody
could easily go into the media folder of a form and look at the plain text
csv file which has the names and addresses of people. Any idea about
keeping this file secure?

Hi Curtis,

The best option is to contribute code that makes this possible. Your
next best option is to turn on full-device encryption Android.

To my mind, the only secure option is to:

(1) configure a secure login screen on your device with a reasonable screen
timeout,
(2) encrypt your device,
(3) encrypt the external SD Card of the device (2 different options on
newer devices).
(4) restrict what apps are on your device ... and choose apps that have
no Network, Email, or Call privileges.

Until you do those, you have no security.

And if you have those, adding security features to ODK Collect probably
won't be necessary.
