How to convert XML document to Excel

I have some forms that were filled out and saved in ODK collect. I pulled
the collected results from the device to get filled out forms that are XML.
How do I convert / import all the responses and place them in an Excel
sheet?

Hi Takondwa,

How did you pull the forms from the devices? Manually copied the xml files?
Used Briefcase? or Pushed to a server - Aggregate/Ona/Kobotoolbox?

If you have pushed to a server, just export the data in excel or csv
format. If you are using Briefcase you can also export to CSV. If mannually
copied xml files I am not sure how you can convert to excel.

Hi Ronald,
I had copied the XML files manually but was not familiar with Briefcase and
after exploring I found the option in Briefcase, which is the pull from
"Custom ODK Directory" option where I had placed all my forms

And to be explicit, once you've pulled the XML files from Collect using
Briefcase, you can use Briefcase to export those files to CSV.
