How to stop a question coming in next group if it is answered yes

Dear all,

I have a doubt that can i stop a qs coming in next repeat group once answer 'yes',
I have tried all aspects, but it is not working.

See http://opendatakit.org/help/form-design/xlsform/ and
http://opendatakit.org/help/form-design/binding. The term you are
looking for is 'relevance'. You need to make the question relevant if
the answer is no.

I have a similar question, but it is kinda harder. i am using a repeat to
register all the household members. I have to check one of them as "the
highest moneymaker" or whatever.
I have some options:

  • do it like the paper form. put it as a question for each member, (i have
done like this, but after it gets checked, it feels wrong when the device
    shows it again)
  • do it like the paper form, ask it, and then when it gets answered, stop
asking it. (but i dont know how to stop it)
  • Ask the question after the repeat (but then, maybe, i want the names of
the household members as choices... and i dont know how to do it)

maybe anya wants something like my second option...

Thank you Hans!!

Yes, i want that, As it is in a repeating group so each time a new group starts it forgets about old group and starts putting new question. I have tried that relevance field but it is not working.

I don't think that's possible. You'll have to ask the question after
the repeats. If you need help listing all the repeat members, see

for a sample.

Anyatama

I've found how to implement on the xml the third option i wrote earlier.
BUT you should now how many members will have the repeat, before you build
the form. i won't do it...
