I'm implementing ODK with an Indian NGO and we're all new to the process.
I'm building and testing the forms we need while we're waiting to hear
about funding and details for setting up our E3C. I'm really hoping to be
able to demonstrate the whole package to team members/funders using our own
data. XLSForm works great and I can manually add/open/fill the xml forms to
Collect on an Android device, but does anyone know of a way we can test
them, for free, on a desktop or web client (mac)? Also would love to fool
around with uploading some of our own data to Aggregate, learn about
connecting Collect to Aggregate, and explore setting up
reporting/visualization parameters. Is there some way to set up a dummy
server or some public space where I can upload a form or two for free and
create a temporary ODK setup for demos?
Set up a server on App Engine. It's should be totally free for your purposes.
You can also try the Aggregate VM.
