I missed/missunderstand something when setting aggregate gae/mysql in Eclipse

Dear all,

After some effort I got my eclipse-aggregate-mysql work in Eclipse but
there are things I do not clear understand. Please, any comment about them
we'll be welcome in other to clarify my ideas.

As suggested in the wiki I first installed the odk 1.4 version of the
software in order to acquire some knowledge about the different tools, the
way they are configured and so on. It also allowed me to start to
understand the data model as well as the way the complete set works.

Then following the CONFIGURE.txt instructions I made the
eclipse-aggregate-gae works (either with the in Eclipse browsers) and from
the outside (Firefox, Chrome, ...) browsers.

Then I followed the SETUP.txt for setting the eclipse-aggregate-mysql
environment. I got to compile it, I tried to run it seemed to work but when
the index.html page is redirected I got the message

··· ---------------------- Mensaje de página web --------------------------- Couldn't load aggregateui from Super Dev Mode server at http://myserver.mydomain.es:9876. Please make sure this server is ready. Do you want to try again? --------------------------- Aceptar Cancelar ---------------------------

It took me a while to see that port 9876 is used by the
eclipse-aggregate-gae for (I think) debbuging purposes. So I thought both
servers should have to be started to be able to run the
eclipse-aggregate-mysql. So my first questions are:

  1. Is it correct? I mean, should I have to start up eclipse-aggregate-gae
    eclipse-aggregate-mysql?
  2. If so, Is there anyway to avoid it?

Probably these doubts are based on my inexperience with ODK and the
answers are already discussed in some threads on google groups but I have
not be able to find them so, as I already said, any suggestion will be
welcome.

Thanks in advance and best regards.

I think it's not the correct group for asking it but I was not able to
publish on the developers group, sorry about.

Our groups are moderated. The first time you post, it will take time for us
to review and accept the post. With the recent focus on the 1.4.8 release,
we have been ignoring the pending posts and messages.

At this point, with 1.4.8 now pushed, you should start over.
The development environment has radically changed.
The CONFIGURE.TXT now covers how to set up a Tomcat development environment.
