Is there a way to uninstall and reinstall ODK Collect from an Android phone
without the phone's having access to the internet?
The phones I'm using for my survey don't have access to the internet, so I
can't use the Market App or the Web on the phone as the main ODK Collect
page suggests (http://opendatakit.org/use/collect/).
I do have a computer with internet, in there's a way I could
uninstall/re-install ODK collect on my phones by linking them to my
computer?
In addition to installing apps and providing device logging, adb can
also be used to move files from your computer to your device. To
install ADB, go to http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html and
under "Download for other platforms", download the appropriate
platform build of "SDK Tools Only" for your computer. Unzip it, and
follow the read me to install "Platform-tools".
Once adb is installed and added to your path, you can download the Collect apk
from https://code.google.com/p/opendatakit/ and install/uninstall it
from the command line.

You can save the apk file in your Android phone settings, enable unknown
sources under Application Settings.

You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups
"ODK Community" group.

Also make sure you have Wondershare MobileGo - very nice software. I use
this all the time to save the apk files to my computer because ever so
often the crews would either delete or something would happen to the odk
collect software - after installation you would just need to ready the
appspot settings and you are good to go.
