Issue with ODK Aggregate playing video

Hello,

I created a form using ODK Build. The survey includes photo and video.
Photos and videos worked fine before both in ODK Aggregate and in Google Fusion Table.
However, now I can only see the photos. When I click on video (both in Aggregate and Fusion Table) a new black screen pops-up but the video never plays.

(I am using Chrome, so I tried Safari and the result was the same.)

Can you please help me solving this issue?

Thank you very much.

And again, this is an amazing tool. Thank you for your effort.

I really need help because I can not figure out what can possibly go wrong.

The photos are visible but the video and audio are not anymore. When I click on them in the Aggregate, the pop-up screen comes. But then when I press play, they seem to be empty somehow.

When I export it to Fusion Table, the map info window shows this;
Video: {Video}

Audio: {Audio}

I wonder what is causing this problem and I could not find any other post in this group also.
I really would like to have your advice.

Are you out-of-quota? I.e., when this happens, can you still access your
ODK Aggregate website in a browser?

Otherwise, it is likely that you added or removed some software on your
computer that provided a video codec that is needed when playing the video.

Hello,

Thank you for the reply.

I dont think that I'm out of quota. I just started using it.
How can I be sure if I have the correct codec for the video ?

Thanks to Yaw this issue is solved.

The ODK Aggregate doesn't play video files in Chrome and Safari. But when opened in Firefox, everything works (at least for me).

Don't guess. Check the App Engine console to make sure you aren't out of quota.

Also, what has changed since videos stopped working?

Hello I'm still having problems with playing video in Aggregate
(the photo and audio submissions are fine).

I have updated/downloaded the new version of Aggregate.
I have created a new gmail account, a new project in Google Cloud (So I have enough quota)
I have created new forms with ODK Build.
Filled and send them via ODK Collect.

I thought maybe starting all over again could remove the video problem but unfortunately I still have it.

Do you have any advice?

I had checked the quota and I have plenty of storage there.

Do you think creating a new application in Google Platform (and connect it
to the Aggregate) all over again can solve the issue?

Thank you for all your helps.

What is the file type of the video file that you are uploading?

The expected types are:

.3gpp
.mp4

Everything else is treated as an unknown binary file.

I checked my SD card to be sure. It's mp4 format.

Hi Natali,

I can take a quick look if you send me a link off-list to the server.
Please send me a username/password with view permissions as well.

Thanks,

Yaw
