Kannada Language on ODK Collect

Hi

I am trying to create a form in a local Indian language 'Kannada' and facing issues with the font display. I have created a form previously in another language 'Assamese' and it worked fine on ODK Collect.

Is there a way to resolve this issue on ODK Collect.

Please guide

The display depends upon glyph/font support on that particular device.

On that device, do other applications render Kannada text correctly?

If not, a work-around that we used several years ago was to create images
of the question text (on some computer or device that correctly renders the
question in Kannada). Then use those images in the form (instead of the
question text) so that you bypass the problematic rendering of those
glyphs/font.

And there are various posts you can search and read for adding fonts to
Android. If you can find a font that renders Kannada text correctly, you
can try to get your device to use that font.

Search for "Android add font" You might find something that works.

You can build your odk with font loaded within the app and at the time of
change language, dynamically change the fonts.
