Keyboard pop-up

Hi,

I am working with a group of surveyors in central Kenya and the android
phones that we are using have very small screens. When the keyboard pops up
for text or integer questions, it blocks the question itself, which is
driving everyone crazy.

Is there anyway to ask ODK to keep the keyboard hidden, and allow it to
pop-up once the surveyor clicks the text box?

There is no user-accessible setting for this. You would need a software
developer to make this change.

Yes, this is a PITA but depending on which version of Android you're using
(or if you have any keyboard app installed) there's a way to minimize the
keyboard when it pops out. That's the easy way of addressing this issue.
