Dear All,
Could any one please provide the link to the latest code base for the ODK
suite of tools like ODK Survey and ODK Aggregate. I am unable to find it
google code or in github. Perhaps it is unavailable due to the migration of
the code. Would be great if some one could assist.

I wanted to make ODK Survey into a cross paltform application, but perhaps
it is designed to run only on android devices. Wanted to check with the
group if there is any interest in creating a cross platform version of ODK
Survey to facilitate accessing the application in other platforms like ios,
windows. Would be great if we could initiate a discussion on the same.

Perhaps you can take the first step by reviewing the Survey code and
reporting back on a good way to get it running on iOS.

If it is not apparent, the software relies upon a webserver running at
localhost to vend the web pages to the webkit.
Communications off-device are managed by the 'sync' APK which implements a
REST api for synchronization. We intend to move the legacy off-device
communications out of 'survey' into another app to further limit what the
'survey' APK does. Porting would involve either porting the 'sync' APK for
2.0 functionality, or that other legacy APK for 1.x functionality, or both.
On the Android platform, the webserver, all database interactions, and a
set of content providers are provided by "core".
All apps pipe database interactions through to 'core' and inject one or
more native interfaces into their hosted webkits.
We are working on an "appDesigner" executable jar to run on the desktop
that would replace nodejs and grunt, and provide a webserver and ajax
interface to interact with the database. The additional injected
interface(s) would continue to be stubs as they currently are.
Once that is complete, we will rip out much of the initialization logic in
the Survey JS, as that will be done within the "appDesigner" executable jar
and within the Android java code, greatly simplifying that part of the JS
and thereby removing our dependence on the W3C SQL apis on non-Android
devices (those APIs are deprecated).
The JS code will be largely portable as-is once we complete the
transformation to this "appEngine" jar provided the platform supports
either interface injection into the webkit or implements the database
interactions via ajax calls to localhost.
External tools like camera, barcode scanner, and geolocation would need to
be reworked for other platforms.
