Maximum digits in integer field

Hello,

My survey only allows me to enter 9 digits in my integer field. Is it
possible to make it so I can enter more?

You can check the old mails on this. This question came up before.
Basically, you will need to change your type to a text format and not an
integer number. Not sure in excel how to do. By default, regular integer
numbers in java can only go as high as 2.3 billion (2 to the 31st power).
Thus, collect only allows integer inputs with 9 digits (999,999,999).

Thank you. Yes I read the old mails about this but I was hoping there was a
way to do it without changing it to text as that means the user has to flip
back and forth between keypads.

I see the documentation is behind on this. If you specify
appearance="numbers" in the prompt of a string field in a form, it
will use the numeric keypad for string entry.
