Has anyone had any experience using an app, desktop software or web service to manage a fleet of android phones running ODK Collect?
For instance:
(i) lock apps from operating/ updating to save bandwidth
(ii) update settings including camera resolution on all phones
(iii) change the URL in ODK Collect
(iv) track/ wipe data/ deactivate a phone if it becomes lost or stolen

In addition to some of the options Lloyd laid out, there are lots of
off-the-shelf mobile device management solutions for Android (e.g.,
AirWatch, WSO2, AppTech360, Meraki, Google Apps for Business). Perhaps
you can try some of those and report back?

Need ODK consultants? Nafundi provides form design, server setup,
in-field training, and software development for ODK. Go to
https://nafundi.com to get started.
Regarding question (i) and (ii) I have not found a service that accomplishes
this (but am also interested in what the community suggests).
For question (iii) Nafundi developed a bulk configuration of ODK settings,
which is great when deploying many devices. It can be found HERE (bottom of
page).
For question (iv) it has been suggested I consider using Device Manager, but
have not implemented it yet for a deployment.
