Mobile phones in Kenya

Hi,

I'm currently planning a couple of ODK based field-surveys in Kenya. Could anyone give any recommendations for smart phones that are available in Kenya that have the following attributes:

  • GPS accuracy (5m or lower)
  • Camera (5MP or higher)
  • good battery life (i.e. 8 hours plus)
  • robust
  • screen visible in bright sunshine
  • preferably under 8000 Kenyan shillings

I'm working with an organization in Zambia that recently purchased JIAYU 3G

Smart Phones to use with ODK Survey and they have been a good value so far.
Not sure this phone would meet your cost limit or if it is available in
Kenya, but it meets most of your other requirements.
