New cascading selects

With the new style cascading select, how can I have more than one set of
cascading select list? (i.e. continents> countries, and another,
vehicles>engine-type)

Nik

If you're using the cascading selects documented on formhub that involve a
'cascades' sheet, I don't think there is a way.
If you're using the choice_filter style of cascading selects (which is
actually the newer style), I don't think there are any complications. You
just need to do the same thing you would do if each cascade was by itself.

I'm indeed referring to the choice_filter style.

Foolish me, I was saving the filtering data in the original cascading
selection column, instead of another. This one's solved. Thanks Nathan.

How do you add an item in the cascading selection that is displayed for
all, in addition to whatever's pre-filtered (if any)? It's for when the
list may not have an item to show to the use, and you still want to display
an option for the user to select.

Whatever value you're filtering on would have a 'no answer' value (or you
can contrive to give it one), so you could have a single option with that
value as its filter-by value, and it would display under that circumstance.

Mitch, Uhrm is that a literal 'no answer' because I tried and it didn't
work out. ... so how do I contrive to give it one?

Oh, I get it.

In my choice_filter, I simply added a condition:

region = {region_select} or region = ''

Quite intuitive. Why didn't I think of that.

Thanks Mitch.
