Odk 20 synch authorization question - trouble upgrading tables app synching to newer version for some users

We have users trying to upgrade from a previous tables app to a newer version of the app - receiving network error. Not sure what the problem is but noticed that the authorize account is not greyed out. Screenshot attached.

Could this be a clue to what the problem may be? Could their account be invalid (they have successfully synched with past versions) but perhaps something changed (e.g. email, etc..)?

Are there any existing docs describing the authorization process or possible ways to troubleshoot?

Thanks,
tom

It is perhaps unclear, but upgrades are not supported for the ODK 2.0
tools until we reach release status.

If you are using rev 122, you should stay on rev 122, and the corresponding
ODK Aggregate 1.4.4 release.

If you are using rev 126, you should stay on rev 126 (updating to the
compatible rev 128 of the Sync APK), and stay on ODK Aggregate 1.4.5, 1.4.6
or 1.4.7.

The release notes for ODK Aggregate clearly state this incompatibility
between 1.4.4 and 1.4.5:
https://code.google.com/p/opendatakit/wiki/AggregateReleaseNotes

This was the intent of the release designations describe here:
https://opendatakit.org/use/2_0_tools/

I see that these are not as clear as they should be, nor are the tools
suite release notes
https://code.google.com/p/opendatakit/wiki/ToolsSuiteChangeLog

··· ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Our aim is to keep the XLSX file format stable, which can allow you to change all devices and the server at the same time to effect an upgrade, but this will generally not work for ongoing deployments.

I was not clear - we are updating our survey - our tables based app - the odk sw is not changed only our survey files.

Apologies, for my wording lack of clarity.

We are really just trying to synch to a new survey. I.e we reset the server loaded new survey to server, etc.. and now some users have synch issues and can not sync to the new survey.

Yes we are using latest releases - this turned out to be user error - the email accounts had changed.

Thanks.
