ODK aggregate Java installation error

Hello DevTeam,

I have been trying to install ODK aggregate as per the instructions on the
open datakit website, however right after I run the odk aggregate set
up(version 1.3.0) I get the error as shown by screen shot attached.

This is my java version;

java version "1.7.0_06"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_06-b24)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 23.2-b09, mixed mode)

the Path variable has also been set as directed.

Any help will be highly appreciated.
Thanks.

Yaw,
Thanks for the prompt response. Apparently I had closely read through the
email thread you attached and suggested I take a look at I am however not
able to get to the point suggested in this quote by Mitch,

"Can you see this ODK-... directory when you have started the
installer? (it should be removed after you close the installer). You may
need to explicitly type in AppData\Local\Temp or AppData\Roaming\Temp to
access those folders (they are normally hidden). If so, does it contain a
qualified_hostname subdirectory, containing QualifiedHostname.class ?
"

I can not see the ODK directory, even while the installer shows the error
message attached earlier. surprisingly it worked fine a while back.

Any other help would be highly appreciated.

Thanks again.

What operating system are you using?

Do you have any antivirus software installed?

If you have a PC administrator, they may be able to help identify the cause
of this problem.

Other possibilities: if you create a different user account, with no accent
characters or special characters in the name (i.e., just a-z), does running
the installer on that account work?

Not having experienced it here, and using Windows 7 exclusively, I am at a
loss as to the cause of this issue.

If you find out what is causing it, please let me know.

Thanks Mitch for the prompt response,

I am using windows 7 home premium 64-bit.

I am currently running AVG internet security 2013.

I created a different user account as advised and deactivated my firewall
and whole anti-virus software - just in case; problem still persisted with
an attempt at the installer on the created account.

Will proceed to a re-install of my system sometime soon and see if that
helps.

Thanks Mitch and Yaw.

I just tried AVG. It is not the cause of this problem, at least not on my
system with a standard AVG installation.
