Hello there,
I am facing difficulties in configuring ODK Aggregate. Not clear about how to connect with MY SQL. I have xampp installed on my PC. Do I still need to install My SQL separately for setting up the server. I am a public help professional and I am interested to do something voluntarily for the Ebola pandemic regions. I need guidance for setting up the aggregate server to start working on ODK. I am based in Canada. Please let me know, if I can talk to someone in this regard and get help.
Thanks
Consider using Google AppEngine.
And if it is sensitive (PII / HIPPA) information, consider using encrypted
forms.
w.r.t. your question, yes -- you need a database, and you need a Tomcat
server. These do not need to be on the same server. If you set up your own
database, you need to handle data backups and recovery.
See https://opendatakit.org/use/aggregate/deployment-planning/
and https://opendatakit.org/use/aggregate/tomcat-install/
