ODK Briefcase on OSX

Hi All,

I think I must be going crazy but I can't for the life of me get ODK
Briefcase working on OSX.

I'm sure it does work but am stuck just setting the briefcase storage area.
No matter what I do I can not select to open a folder and so I can't use
the app - has anyone else come across this?

Dan

You probably got tripped up by this safeguard:
ODK Briefcase will not allow you to select a folder that contains a
'forms' directory, or is contained in any directory that contains a 'forms'
directory. This is to prevent people from inadvertently nesting ODK
Briefcase Storage Locations (by selecting or creating a directory within a
storage location).

You may have a 'forms' folder in your home directory. If you rename that,
or move it into a sub-folder, things will start to work.

Are none of the folders selectable?

Perhaps you are navigating to the folders in an odd way (e.g., through a
mount that is read-only?).

Its really weird I can write to all locations that i've tried. Like desktop
as an example. The open button just never shows.

I'll try reloading Java.
