ODK Build status update

Hi all,

As you might know, ODK Build is down.

I'm currently in the field deploying ODK, so I definitely understand
why this is a frustrating situation for many of you. I have reached
out to Clint (the developer and maintainer of Build) via every channel
available to me. I believe he's probably in transit and so is not
seeing the messages.

Please understand that Clint, like the other ODK volunteers, cares
deeply about this community. He created Build as a side project and
has been running the server voluntarily for many years with
essentially zero downtime. I'm confident that the server will be back
up soon and that systems will be put in place to prevent something
like this from happening again.

If you need an immediate workaround, your best bet is to download the
XML from ODK Aggregate or ODK Collect and edit that instead. You might
also want to consider using XLSForm to rebuild your form. The
resources at http://opendatakit.org/help/form-design will help answer
form design questions. I will also, connection permitting, be
available on the mailing list to help out.

I will send out an update as soon as I have it. Until then, thanks for
your patience,

Yaw

Hi all,

Build is back up (and has been up for the last 24 hours). Please alert
the list if you run into any problems.

Thanks,

Yaw
