What’s new
ODK Central v2025.3 adds map views, bulk deletion, and better visibility into system status!
Map view for Submissions
You can now explore your data visually! In addition to the table view, Submissions can now be viewed on a map, referencing the first geopoint, geotrace, or geoshape found in the form definition (outside any repeat). Multiple points mapped together are displayed in clusters that break apart when you zoom in to show the individual Submissions.
Bulk deleting Entities
Managing Entities just got easier! You can now delete multiple Entities at once directly from the table, making it faster to clean up your data.

Better visibility into system status
We’ve added new ways to understand what’s happening in your server:
- See each user’s invitation status directly on the System page
- Submission and Entity tables now include a timestamp so you can easily see if your data is up to date.
Web Forms
Select one from maps
Select one from map is now available, allowing users to pick a point, line, or shape directly from a map. If the place is an Entity, Web Forms will display the properties associated with it.

Markdown
Markdown and HTML styling is now supported, making it easier to add formatting like bold text, lists, and links to your questions.
Foundation for Entities from Repeats
We have been laying the foundation for creating and updating Entities directly from Repeats. See the discussion of the XLSForm spec and XForm spec on the forum: Create and update Entities from repeats.
This release of Central (and pyxform v4.1.0) supports the new spec and can process forms that create or update entities in a single Entity list (e.g. collecting data about multiple trees in one submission). A beta version of Collect where you can test this feature is coming in a few days.
How to get these improvements?
If you are using Central on ODK Cloud, we'll be rolling out these updates in the coming days. If you are self-hosting Central, follow the upgrade instructions.
What’s next
Our next release will include being able to view Entities on a map! We’re also continuing to work on creating and updating Entities from Repeats. This includes supporting multiple entity lists in one Form where entities are linked automatically though a parent-child relationship.
