ODK collect and web-based survey

Hi!

I would like to know if I can distribute forms build on ODK Builder for
online surveys. I am thinking of strategies to collect data quickly. For
some respondents, an interviewer-administered approach is better but I for
some self-administered is better. I do not want to create two separate
forms. Since I have already started using ODK build I was wondering if
anyone can help me with this.

Tanks,
Rubana

Hi Rubana,

You can use Enketo (http://enketo.org) for your web forms and Collect
for your mobile forms. And if you use the exact same form, you can
submit data from both to an Aggregate server.

Thanks Yaw.
Does this mean I have to install Enketo separately or use it from ODK
aggregate? I am a little embarrassed to say that I do not understand what
the enketo website is saying. It seems like the free version is going to be
hard to manage and the paid ones are very expensive for me. I am a PhD
student with no research funding. So I am looking for a freely available
software to deal with the 400 surveys I have to conduct.
Would you have any other suggestions for me?

Best,
Rubana

Hi Rubana,

As described at https://enketo.org/#tools there are a number of
popular tools that have Enketo built in. The popular ones are ODK
Aggregate, Ona, and KoboToolbox. Try all three and see what works best
for you.

If you have questions about Enketo, email Martijn at support@enketo.org.

SurveyCTO also has a free Community level with some limitations. I have
used it for a while (both paid and free)

Hi Yaw,

Thanks.
I have installed ODK aggregate on a private server. But I noticed the tab
for "enketo webform" is not shown there unlike on the opendatakit trial
page
(https://opendatakit.appspot.com/Aggregate.html#submissions/filter///).
Could you please guide me how I can get that on my aggregate page?

Thanks,
Rubana

Thanks but free version seems too restricted.

Best,
Rubana
