ODK collect and WLANs

guys am just wondering if ODK collect actually works on wlan, i managed a
server side other than ODK Aggregate and it work well with ODK collect(in
the android emulator) on my pc so am now testing it in client environment
with a real android phone connected to same WLAN as server pc. but wen i
try to submit, ODK collect keeps giving "Error - Generic Exception" so am
wondering does it work wireless IP networks or it only works mobile
networks? thanx

It works just fine on wireless networks.
Chances are that you have some kind of configuration/firewall issues on
your particular network. Can you get to google.com using your phone's
browser?
