You may need to install the Google Android APIs in your emulator as well.
How are you building, using Eclipse?

Cheers, Chris.

Have you tried installing the Google APIs for Android?

Cheers, Chris.

If you have used the Google APIs for Android, I doubt this is the same
problem. If you are seeing red in more than the MapActivity, then it's
definitely another problem.

Refresh the project, clean and rebuild, restart Eclipse and see if
that works. If not, copy and paste the errors you are seeing in
Eclipse Problems tab into dpaste.com and send out a link.
