Dear yaw,

I did some test and the bug are showed in the form with two languages, my
original form having two language English and Arabic after the update it
crash so i did the following tests :

1- Checked my form validation and it works fine.
2- Deleted one one language form my form and it work fine.
3- check the two language form on the new update it crash
4- I tried the same form on the old odk version and it worked.

I don't know if this will help but i tried my best now am re-downloading
collect ver 1.4.5

Please tell me if this problem is fix so i can download the new version

Dear yaw,

I didnt test it in odk validation i will do it today but am using odk on a very large scale about 20k report just in the last four months the form was working fine but after i update odk collect its crash !!! The tablets with the old collect are working fine

Test with ODK Validate. If that confirms the form is valid, then use
adb logcat (developer.android.com/tools/help/adb.html) to get a stack
trace of where the crash is. That stack trace is what the core team
needs to find the issue.

Dear Khamash/Yaw,

I hit the same problems - after an auto-update of ODK Collect, opening of a
previously-fine blank form caused: "Unfortunately, ODK Collect has stopped".

The way we resolved this was:

  1. Delete the blank form causing the problems.
  2. Re-load the blank form (in our case it was downloaded from Aggregate)
  3. Open the form again

No changes were needed to the form - it just needed to be reloaded.

I recommend setting your Google Play store settings to NOT allow
auto-upload in future.

Yaw, any idea what might have caused this?

Regards,
Andrew

Andrew et al,

What would help is a stack trace of the crash with adb logcat so we
can try to reproduce the error.
