ODK Collect Losing Data

Hi all,

We're using ODK for an HIV survey and everything is working fine, except
for the fact that sometimes, we just lose data on the tablet. I tried
restarting the tablet and clearing cache on the tablet but none of that
helped - data just disappears on the tablet before syncing it.
The questionnaire is quite long and when that data is lost, we have revisit
that same household and redo the interview and it's very challenging
because people are not cooperative.

Can someone try to figure out how we could resolve this issue.

Hi Makhate,

Data loss is terrible and I'm very sorry your enumerators have had to
redo interviews.

If ODK Collect crashes, it should take you back to the form page when
you re-open it, and there should be no loss of data. It sounds like
for some reason, ODK collect isn't doing that.

Can you please file an issue at
https://github.com/opendatakit/collect/issues/new so we can track this
down? Be sure to include the version of ODK Collect, the hardware
device you are using, and steps on how we can reproduce it.
