1. What is the general goal of the feature?
I would like to suggest a configuration setting to toggle the default display format of lat/lon coordinates between DMS and DD (with a default to DMS to maintain continuity).
I am aware that the read-only view shows DD and is accessible via the arrow-and-dot button to right - to those who know what that button does. This requires an additional training step, is hard to remember for some enumerators, and requires fiddling around in the form (some got lost in the navigation and aborted and discarded changes, thus losing data).
2. What are some example use cases for this feature?
Some enumerators use the coordinates captured through the Geopoint widget to backfill paper datasheets.
Others might use the coordinates read off the form during data capture for other purposes.
Either way, converting DMS into DD (or the other way around) requires a calculation step.
3. What can you contribute to making this feature a reality?
