ODK Collect Show Successfully Submitted Forms BUT No Data on ODKAggregate

Hello,

We are facing an issue with ODK Collect application. When we submit forms
it take long time in submission and after few minutes submission popup get
hidden without message. Submitted form clear from the "Send Finalized
Forms" List and comes into the Submitted Saved Forms tab. But when we check
on ODKAggregate there is no entry submitted and we are losing entries which
is Big Issue for us.

What can be the possible reasons for this issue? Please advise.

Thanks,
PLD3 Team

If you have a large photo attached I have seen this behavior. Turn down camera resolution or try sending without photo to see if that is your issue.

I'm assuming you are using the latest versions of Collect and
Aggregate? If you aren't you might want to consider upgrading.

You can confirm that this is the issue Andrew is referring to by
checking if you have incomplete submissions in Aggregate. Go into Form
Management, Submission Admin, and check to see if the incomplete forms
are there.

From your description, you are likely hitting the 60-second transmission
timeout on Google AppEngine.

If the submission cannot be fully read and processed within 60 seconds,
Google will kill the transmission attempt.

The solution is to submit data over a faster WiFi connection / internet
link.

If the submission failed, you may need to exit the "Send Forms" screen then
re-enter it to see the failed submissions. These may also appear in a
different order after the transmission failure (they will appear with a
sub-text of "submission failed' vs "finalized").
