ODK Collect submission timeout

1. What is the issue? Please be detailed.
We are currently using ODK Collect to gather data from both urban and rural locations. However, while attempting to send submitted forms to the server, we are consistently encountering timeout errors.

Verified internet connectivity and speed

  • Force stopped the application and retried submission

  • Disabled auto-send of forms

  • Re-scanned the QR code to re-establish server connection

  • Are you on a wi-fi network, and could there be firewall rules or other restrictions?
  • What are the technical specifications of the server that is running your Central instance?
  • Can you successfully reach your Central server from the web browser on the devices running Collect?
  • Do your submissions have large attachments? For example, lots of full resolution photos.

    Yes we are using Wifi, but No firewall rules are not blocking as from the same network some of the form is getting submitted and some error is throwing.

  • What are the technical specifications of the server that is running your Central instance?

    The Central instance is running on a server with an AMD Ryzen 9 CPU and 64 GB RAM with a RTX 3060 16 GB VRAM

  • Can you successfully reach your Central server from the web browser on the devices running Collect?

    Yes, few forms are reaching successfully but many for are still in ready to send and we are unable to send it .

  • Do your submissions have large attachments? For example, lots of full resolution photos.

    No , it is a simple form with no attachments.
