Odk collect unicode punjabi font not being displayed

Hi,

I have been localizing my form in various indian dialects. Previously I have converted the form into assamese and kannad unicode font and the form looked okay with enketo smart paper view and in the odk collect app itself.
Now I have used the punjabi unicode font similar to previous cases but now I can view the form on enketo preview.. But in my odk collect, i am not able to see the fonts.. I.e fonts are not visible at all. What can be the cause.
Thanks

It's possible your device doesn't have that font.

In such cases.. The font looks like boxes. And android supports uncicode that's why I am using unicode fonts only. The issue is that I can't even see the fonts displayed. But i can see the symbols like comma or brackets.

I have an android device which supports unicode. Moreover previously whenever I introduced an unsupported font, then it looked like boxes, but now it is not displaying them at all.

Your device does not support ALL Unicode fonts -- because no device
supports all Unicode fonts (as far as I know). So Yaw's comment is still
quite relevant.

As for boxes vs. blanks, who knows? You might look for some definitive
proof that your device supports Punjabi. For example, a very logical thing
to try: open your Enketo form on that device. What happens? Does the font
display? I'm guessing that it doesn't, which would be further evidence that
it doesn't support the Punjabi script. If it does show in the browser but
not in Collect, then that would be very surprising.

Best,

Chris
