ODK Collect

cc'ing the mailing list.

galaxy support is not in the binary build, but it is in the
repository. using the source build will allow you to use odk collect
at full size and use forms that put multiple elements on one screen.

if you are technically savvy, you can download and build the code from
trunk. if you are not, i'd encourage you to wait for 1.1.6 to be
released.

Yaw,

Is Collect 1.1.6 still on track for late January as it says in the Roadmap?
Large screen (ie, galaxy tab) support is much needed!

Thanks for all your work.

Is it possible to add an option in ODK build to
import a list of tree species? I think it would be useful for anyone who
needs to integrate inventory selections bird species etc... lists we all
have already in excel without adding them 1 at a time in the single
selection button.

we currently don't support this import functionality in build.
xls2xforms at http://xform.childcount.org is a compatible form builder
makes it super easy to build forms in excel. try it out.

Maybe this is possible already but I collect data from multiple trees: how
can I collect the same data in one form without restarting the form again
and again to collect additional rows of data?

yes. what you are describing is what we call a looping group (also
known as repeats). if you are using odk build, add a group, then drag
your questions into that group. from there enable the looped property
in the side panel. any prompt in that group will repeat. for
xls2xforms, just follow the template for groups.

1.1.6 is still on on track. in the meanwhile, we'll be pushing a tweak
to 1.1.5 that will make collect run on the galaxy tab.
