[ODK Community] Appearance tag acceptable values --- documentation

This is a good list: http://opendatakit.org/help/form-design/examples/

Click on the "show snippet" to see the appearance settings used in the form
producing that screen.

Groups that have an appearance="field-list" will present all their
questions on the same screen.

Additionally, the date widget now supports "year" and "month-year" as
appearance attributes to hide the month and day spinner, or just the day
spinner, respectively.

And, additionally, if you are launching an external application to capture
a string, integer or decimal value, see the BreathCounter project for an
example of the app code and the form (breathTest.xml) that defines how to
fire off that foreign app.

First off, a huge thanks and big props for the work of the dev team on
ODK. It is awesome!

I am new to ODK and see huge possibilities, however I do struggle to find
documentation. Specifically, I am looking for more control over that
layout and appearance of groups/labels/fields on my devices.

Where can I find information on, for example "appearance" tag acceptable
values? I realize that documentation might lag, in some cases. If you can
point me in the right direction, I would be happy to contribute by
summarizing my findings in the form of documentation.

Thanks again.

Mitch:

Thanks for the reply.

I had read all of the examples and got the general idea; I was thinking a
list of the acceptable properties for the "appearance" attribute would be
useful.

As for your second example, I had not read that and it appears to be an
excellent feature that I will use.

Thanks again for the reply, and for your on-going efforts.

On the examples page, the possible appearances either have their own screen
shots or are detailed within the snippets for the various widgets.

We don't have these extracted into a separate table or list anywhere.

Jesse,

http://xlsform.org/ref-table has a pretty good summary of the
appearance options.
