ODK crashed when May 01 1990 is selected as date of birth

Hi,

I am using ODK Collect 1.4.3 on ASUS Google Nexus 7.

I have a form where I ask about the date of birth and then I calculate the
age. I am using this formula int((today() - ${dob}) div 365.24) to
calculate the age. It's supposedly correct. However, today (August 14
2014), I inserted the dob May 01 1990, and ODK crashed. Once I changed the
date, it worked fine.

I also tried changing today's date in the settings of the tablet (I used
August 11 2014), and used dob May 01 1990, and ODK still crashed.

I know the above formula is sort of the standard one used to calculate the
age, so can someone help me understand why it's crashing using this
specific date?

Thank you.

Best way to get help is to include a small one question test form that
shows this problem.

Yaw

I just tried that. I created a new form where I only ask about the date of
birth, and then it calculates the age.

It still crashed.

I created another form that just asks for the date of birth, without
calculating the age... ODK crashed.

It's always with May 01 1990

Hiba,

Works great on my Nexus 4 so it's probably something on your device.

Best way to get help now is to file an issue
(https://code.google.com/p/opendatakit/issues/list) with a stack trace
(https://code.google.com/p/opendatakit/wiki/CollectTroubleshooting).

Be sure to include the following:

  1. What version and build number of Android are you running?
Apps > Settings > About phone or About tablet.

  2. What locale/language are you using?
    Apps > Language and input

  3. Is the device full stock or have you changed anything (e.g., installed
a ROM) that would cause non-stock behavior with the date?

Thanks,

Yaw
