ODK Spatial data collection capabilities?

Has the ODK ever been used to collect spatial data? has anybody ever done
any data collection with ODK that linked the data collected on a form to a
point on a map? was the application integrated with a mapping component, or
were the locations simply entered as coordinates.

I'd like to be able to put a point on a map and have the GPS Sensor of the
device populate a field in an ODK form with the coordinates of the point.
I'd like to be able to have this integrated with a Geological field data
collection form. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Matthew

Matthew,

Yes. You can collect spatial data.

There is a ton of information at http://opendatakit.org (and on this
very mailing list). I'd suggest you start with those resources first.
If you have specific questions after that, send them to the list.

Matthew,

You may find this page http://opendatakit.org/help/form-design/examples/
particularly useful -- it lists all of the data collection prompts that are
available in the tool.
