ODK Submission Interruption

Hello ODK Representatives,

I have been working on a data collection project using ODK. I just noticed
that all of the data I sent in last week has not come through to the
appspot. I resent an additional entry to test, and that also did not come
through to the appspot despite the upload success notification that
prompted on my device screen. Before I start re-entering all of the data, I
would like to see if there's some way to resolve this. Is there a chance
that that data will still make it through to the appspot? Is there a data
bank somewhere other than on the appspot that I don't know about.

Thanks!

Are you certain that you are looking at the server where the data was sent?

If the form included a submission_url (on the settings page), then the data
will be sent to that location and not the server URL that is configured in
ODK Collect's settings.

If the submissions were not entirely-successfully sent, they will appear on
the Forms Management / Submission Admin tab. Are they found there? This
would indicate that one or more attachments were not successfully submitted
to the server. The devices will have these submissions marked as
Failed-to-Send (and would have reported them as having failed to be sent).

What versions of ODK Aggregate and ODK Collect are you using?

Mitch is the best person to respond regarding submissions to appspot.

However to avoid any re-entry, the completed forms should still be on the
device the data was captured on (unless you have the option 'Delete after
Send' selected on the device ODK settings). The forms can be accessed from
each device using ODK Briefcase https://opendatakit.org/use/briefcase/,
then pushed to your aggregate server.
