ODK TAB Call - 2022-03-16

These calls bring together the Technical Advisory Board for the ODK suite (@TAB) to discuss roadmaps, working groups, and other issues of technical governance. Everyone is welcome to come to these calls, but only TAB members may talk.

The calls are held every four weeks in our Dialpad room. We put the agenda, audio, and transcript of every call in this document.

Our next call will be Wed, March 16. The meeting time should be shown in your timezone above.

The agenda is tentatively as follows:

• Review action items: TAB elections, outreach & training resources
• Deprecating Briefcase & Google Drive/Sheets
• Collect block 15 feedback
• ODK vs Enketo differences
• Entity-based Data Collection update from Core Team
• ODK Build form builder discussion
• map feature selection
• Removing Google analytics

This has very low priority, but if we have time to discuss this I'd like to get opinions on whether ODK Build wants to move its deployment from the current source install to docker-compose. This would clear out a few open issues as well and sunset the legacy deployment through ansible as well as the offline build.

Secondly, what features are missing but would be valuable to see in Build? Appearances, widgets etc.

I would be interested in a quick update from the core team on selection from map. Is there a card on the roadmap for it?

• Potential deprecations of Briefcase and Google Drive/Sheets in Collect
• Feedback on Central block 15
• Resolving differences between Collect and Enketo
