ODK Virtual Machine Set-up Issue - "Connection refused"

Hello!

I'm having some trouble with the ODK aggregate virtual machine. I downloaded and installed it, imported the virtual machine, and was assigned an IP address. When I type that IP address into a browser, I get the error message "connection refused." I feel like there must be some very obvious set-up step I've missed, but I'm not sure what it is.

  • I've tried this on a home computer and a work computer and gotten the same error message, so I don't think its specific to the computer I am using.
  • I've turned off my firewall - same error message.
  • Tried with both a bridged connection and NAT - can't connect with either.
  • Tried with IE and Chrome - no luck.
  • In my Chrome settings - I've selected "use proxy server for your LAN" and the port is set to 80.

Please let me know if anyone knows how to fix this! I've never worked with a virtual machine before and don't have a lot of knowledge in this area, so if something obvious occurs to you, it probably hasn't occurred to me - please share!

Hi there,

Can you post a screenshot of the VM screen to http://pasteboard.co/?
