Is the OSM SDK also available as a setting for the ODK2 Tables & survey app? The OSM maps of the Kutupalong refugee camps in Bangladesh are much more accurate than those from Google.
Unfortunately, this is on the backlog of the ODK 2 roadmap. The plan is to switch to Leaflet.js (from Google Maps) and be agnostic about which maps provider is used.
